Citrusdal is a nature lovers paradise seeing that it is situated between 2 Mountain ranges for mountain biking activities and numerous mountain rivers for fishing. The valley is part of the bigger Cederberg Range with the farm village with its awesome variety of accommodation units supplying a big collection of outdoor activities. We do have Canoes at Wolfkop Nature Reserve that can be used at the Wolfkop Nature Reserve Dam. It includes mind boggling rock formations, Bushmen paintings and panoramic scenes of fynbos and Sandstone Mountains. Fishing can be done 13km further up at our camping spot on the river at Grootfontein campsite with its abundance of weaver birds. Scenic drives are a definite must from Citrusdal with the proximity of the world renowned Cederberg Mountains offering interesting rock formations, Bushman paintings and experiences of solitude and natural silence. The highlight of this route is most probably the feeling of solitude along a white sandy coastline with a visit to the open air Muisbosskerm Restaurant, where fresh sea food is served right on the edge of the water. From Wolfkop Nature Reserve, drive into town and straight through the town onto the old gravel road towards Clanwilliam.
